It’s alright I should’ve been more clear about which post it was! I am thinking about a monster König and Ghost fight for reader now though😳

okay imma be real, I used this as an excuse to write about monster! König because I'M NOT OKAY

I've seen someone on Twitter or tiktok say that König is just a barely domesticated alternate and honestly? Yeah <3

When I called Monster! Ghost a menace, then you haven't met König, absolutely shameless and nasty, the ultimate menace to society and you too, once you show him any sign of kindness you're not getting rid of him.

He's a shadow creature too but jesus christ he's terrifying. You know how alternates (from Mandela Catalogue) are almost always shown to be just those vaguely shaped dark masses lurking in the darkness with their eyes being the most pronounced feature? That's König. He's fucking terrifying, his wide eyes trailing after you from the dark tree line in the evening when you're doing some chores like last minute watering your plants or watching you from behind the curtains at night when you're entertaining yourself with a book or show.

It's honestly very unnerving, the feeling of someone clearly watching you but the second you turn around there's nothing there, yet you could swear you saw something move right in the corner of your eye.

As for König's and Ghost's rivalry, it's more of a 'who's more bold and cunning and who can hide better'. It's a dick measuring contest tbh. Ghost will boast about snatching some of your clothes and mocking the bigger male but then König performs the biggest 'fuck you' move and...reveals himself to you. More or less.

He comes to you one day as a kind of questionable creature, like a small land-octopus-something with huge begging eyes and you just can't leave it alone :(( You have no clue what this creature may be but your heart broke at the pathetic sight; the little one covered in bruises and dirt and making tiny hurt noises so you just had to take it in!

Of course just as you picked König up (his transforming ability finally coming handy) and carried him home to give him a bath and take care of his 'injuries' König looked over your shoulder and have Ghost the nastiest, most smug look he could manage in this form and he could almost hear the angry yells and bellows in Ghost's mind as he had to watch König snuggle closer to your breast :(((

more headcanons:

• vace tends to push people in certain directions by squaring up his shoulders and leaning very slightly into their space. most people don’t realize he’s doing it, but do subconsciously step back from him, and he keeps moving them from there

• solane did notice this from watching vace’s interactions with other people

• solane dgaf. he just lets vace keep trying until he’s awkwardly close

• (he’s a doctor. he’s used to people being awkwardly close to him)

• every time vace tries it on him (and he does keep trying), solane just smirks and calls him lassie

• no one knows when exactly they start dating?

• (not even them.)

• for a while, it’s honestly more of a queerplatonic relationship than anything

• their relationship generally is a different dynamic than most would expect with a “relationship”

• most often, they interact in a way that makes them seem like squad mates? they start to develop that kind of connection and understanding where they can help each other without talking, just vague gestures and subtle body language

• they aren’t lovey-dovey, they both have too many issues for that

• (eventually, they reach a point of being comfortable being physically affectionate with each other. and i’m talking like, hugs, or cuddling, or holding hands. other stuff takes a while longer)

• solane always tries to sit on vace’s left side. he has a tendency to lean into vace when they spend much time anywhere, and noticed pretty early on that he tenses if sol leans against anything but the metal arm.

• they also are completely unafraid to full on hip check each other, metaphorically. and literally.

• their love language is physical touch. but in a “physically bully each other” kind of way.

• sol has bodily tackled vace to the ground in the middle of the colony many times for being a bastard

• (vace did it to sol one time, and broke two of sol’s ribs. he hasn’t done it again, even though sol keeps calling him a coward because “it was only two ribs, it’s not like i need them all!”)

• they are both somewhat territorial, though

• sol actively encourages others to give vace a hard time when he deserves it

• but if he doesn’t actually deserve it? you’re fucked

• sol is better at tearing people down mentally. vace, physically.

• vace is generally more efficient and to the point about it. sol is fucking feral.

• he likes playing the long game. he likes making you think you’re going fucking crazy. he does absolutely unhinged shit. either very subtlely or very obviously, no in between.

• if he has to get physical? he gets some training from vace, but also has a concerning tendency to bite if anything gets close enough

• (distinctly, none of that follows him into doctor mode. no grudges or games when someone needs help.)

• vace also bites. or he did, once.

• after a while, sol felt comfortable enough to introduce vace to sym.

• vace trying to tag along when sol went outside the colony was a pressing factor, but he waited until both were comfortable and informed.

• sym tends to act a bit… naturally flirtatious.

• sol is used to it, that’s just how sym is. he’s an ancient ai being trying to learn how to interact like humans, cut him some slack.

• vace thinks sym is interested in sol

• (sym isn’t, actively. but he wouldn’t say no, if sol asked.)

• vace keeps edging closer and closer to sol over the course of the conversation. until he’s fully pressed up against sol’s left shoulder and back, glaring at sym.

• and then… well, he doesn’t even realize he’s about to do it?

I just finished ACOFAF believe y’all think RueHob is toxic? Is it perfect? No but y’all placing all the blame on RUE. Saying that they only love this idea of Hob is crazy

Some things I want to touch (To my understanding this is what I perceived)

Rue didn’t choose to serve the court of wonder like it was some planned decision. Rue was an orphan who was kidnapped and forced to stay in the fae relem no? I think it makes sense for Rue to take the place next of the ppl who raised them.

So Oscar/Rue took the love at first sight route. Doesn’t inherently make it selfish, unreasonable, or shallow. I’ve heard plenty of stories of ppl getting together within days/weeks/months of meeting each other. Some people feel differently

Just because Rue lived in a place of lavish doesn’t mean they can’t be sad. Idk maybe it hit me more personally bc I saw it as yk yt parents non-black kid adoption. Rue being an OwlBear just trying to fit in in the society around them. We always say money doesn’t buy happiness why can’t this apply to Rue?

The love Rue wanted was romantic love. They may have had the love of the people, court, Wuvy, etc but it wasn’t the love they WANTED. Is Rue not allowed to want love? Love that is of kissing and holding and not making face and contracts?

It’s almost like the Bloom is made to make connections of any kind 💀 Again I don’t understand why it’s wrong for Rue to want to love somebody/love them. Rue didn’t force Hob to fall in love. Rue didn’t feed him a love potion or pushed him till he breaks.

I feel like we are a being harsh on Rue for being more emotional/dramatic but at the end of the day this is a dnd game. These characters actions rely on the descriptions provided by the player. If they add in a sigh here or a tears in the eyes there I don’t think it’s fair to fully put that on the character without the context of performance.

Wuvy Wuvy Wuvy. I love Wuvy but it’s clear that their relationship was platonic .l. I think Rue has felt that everything Wuvy has done (sort of) was due to responsibility of position/duty. Ofc Wuvy denies that but we don’t know how long Rue felt this way. I don’t think we see any evidence that says Rue told Wuvy to To change herself and make herself smaller I think Wuvy did that out of the love of her heart. If I had to take a major guess I would assume Rue made these changes to themselves first and Wuvy followed so that they wouldn’t be alone. While Wuvy may follow Rue command her actions are of her own. Did Rue do Wuvy wrong from time to time. Yes!

To imply that Rue is selfishly satisfying this hunger through Hob is crazy to me. I feel like y’all are babying this man. Hob was major and was set to be married. At the end it was Hob who went after Rue not the other way around. If he wanted to he could’ve atleast cleared the air with Rue then continue his duties. No one told him to hold on to Rue token. No one told him to dance with Rue. No one made him give Rue his badge. No one forced him to quit. He decided those things bc of his own heart not Rues.

Ig my question is if Rue only loves Hob bc of what he “represents” (like this idolization I suppose) why does Hob love Rue. He had his court, his honor, his goblins. A big chunk was Hob being to loyal to his court.

P.S The thing with the goblin court was f’ed up. Just makes Rue flawed not horrible.

TLDR: I’m more trying to fight I’m just RueHob number one defender. I’m not digging on anyone or being like “I’m right you’re wrong”. I’m just expressing my feelings after being on an 8 episode rollercoaster
